Agencies and clients

Cookiemark is built for agencies that look after many client sites. This page explains how your team works together and how you give a client access to their own sites. It also shows how you put your own brand in front of them.

Your organisation and its roles

Everything in Cookiemark belongs to an organisation: the sites, the clients, the consent logs and the plan. Invite your colleagues under Team. They get an email with a link to sign in. There is no password, and the link works for seven days.

RoleWhat it can do
OwnerEverything, including billing and deleting the organisation.
AdminAdds sites and clients, invites people and publishes.
EditorChanges design, texts and cookies, and publishes.
ViewerLooks at everything and changes nothing.

One person can belong to more than one organisation. The switcher at the top of the sidebar moves between them.

A workspace per client

Under Clients you add a workspace for each client and move their sites into it. The list of sites can then be filtered by client.

You can also invite people at the client. They sign in to the same dashboard, but see their own sites and nothing else of your organisation. When you invite them, you choose what they can do.

AccessWhat the client can do
ViewSee the banner, the scans and the consent log of their own sites.
EditAlso change the texts and the design. Publishing stays with your team.

Because publishing stays with you, a client can prepare new texts as a draft without changing their live site. Your team checks the draft and publishes it. People at a client cannot start scans either.

Your brand in the dashboard

On the Agency and Agency Plus plans, people at your clients can see your brand in place of ours. Open Settings, then Your brand, and fill in three things.

  • The name your clients see.
  • Your colour.
  • Your logo: upload a square PNG, JPEG or WebP of at least 128 pixels and at most 512 KB.

The change applies straight away.

The script on your own address

Under Settings, Your address for the script, you can serve the banner script from a domain of your own, such as consent.youragency.com. Point a CNAME record for that address to cdn.cookiemark.com, then press Connect. We check the record, connect the address and arrange its certificate. From then on the Install tab of every site shows the script on your address. Scripts already on cdn.cookiemark.com keep working, so you can move sites over when it suits you. The dashboard itself stays on cookiemark.com.

Sites and your plan

Every live or draft site counts towards the number of sites on your plan. When the plan is full, you can no longer add a site, but every existing banner keeps working. Archive a site you no longer look after, and it stops counting. Its banner stops too, and its consent log stays for the retention period.

Only owners and admins add sites and clients, so your plan stays under your control.
